About

June was born in Hertfordshire and has been a professional landscape and portrait artist since 1970 – her first 'gallery' being the railings on Green Park/Bayswater Road, London. In 1979, she was made a Freeman of the City of London for her interest and involvement in the City townscape, in particular Billingsgate Fish Market.

June works predominantly in oil, oil pastels, and pencil/pen and ink. She is renowned for her portraiture, the most famous being of Lord Mountbatten which sold at auction for £22,000. June has been an annual visitor to Caithness for the last twenty years where she is well-known for her landscapes.
She can often be seen painting ‘plein air’, whatever the weather!
June also travels regularly to the gulf, where she paints and holds master classes. Her Orientalist work is shown frequently in galleries around the Middle East and in London. A solo exhibition of her Syrian paintings was opened by the Syrian Ambassador to the U.K. at the Mathaf gallery in September 2009.
